About Me
Ms. Anastasiya Shcherbachenko

Welcome! I’m Anastasiya, a psychologist with a higher degree in psychology from the University of Wolverhampton and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I work with research-based methods - avoiding any magical thinking.
I conduct sessions in English, Russian and Ukrainian, specialising in classical psychoanalysis, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), CBT and positive psychology. My focus areas include emotional well-being, relationship issues, personal and career development, work performance, self-confidence, financial concerns, anxiety, and non-medical eating disorder conditions.
I work exclusively with adults (18 and over) and do not take on cases involving addictions, medical conditions, family therapy with children, or trauma related to war violence. For clients dealing with depression, I am available to work alongside a psychiatrist's recommendations as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
In sessions, I aim to create a safe, respectful and comfortable space. Feel free to drink water, tea or coffee during the session, choose any position you like—whether sitting, lying down or standing—and take short breaks if needed. I’m attentive to each client’s preferences for therapeutic techniques, offering a flexible approach without pressure. If home tasks are suggested, they are always meant to be supportive tools, not requirements.
Mutual respect and polite communication are integral to the therapeutic process. I maintain a courteous environment and kindly expect the same from clients, ensuring a respectful atmosphere for both sides.

Price
The session fee is 3500 UAH.
Payments are accepted online via credit or debit card (Apple Pay, Google Pay), and are subject to applicable currency conversion rates.

Session Guidelines
Terms and Conditions
By booking a consultation, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Consultation Duration: Each session lasts 60 minutes (± 5 minutes).
2. Cancellation and Rescheduling: You can cancel or reschedule your session up to 24 hours in advance.
*Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or missed appointments, will be charged 100% of the consultation fee.
*If I need to cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours in advance, your next session will be free of charge.
3. Payment Confirmation and Session Details:
After receiving your booking confirmation, you will receive a follow-up message one day before your session. This message will be sent to the preferred method of communication you provided during the booking process and will include payment instructions and the Zoom link for the session. Payment must be completed at least 12 hours before the session starts.
Please note:

The session fee is non-refundable if you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled time. If you cancel the session more than 24 hours in advance, your advance payment will be refunded in full, and the public offer agreement is considered terminated.

If you fail to pay and also do not cancel or reschedule the session at least 24 hours in advance, I will not be able to conduct any further sessions until payment for the missed or rescheduled session is made.
4. Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, the session duration will be reduced by the time you were late, but the full session fee still applies.
5. Payment: Payment is required in advance and must be made by card only. Cash payments are not accepted.
6. Long-Term Therapy Pricing: If you are in long-term therapy (6 months or more), the session fee may increase only after 6 months of work, and by no more than 20%.
*Long-term therapy means regular sessions every 7-14 days. Infrequent sessions (e.g., once a month) do not qualify as long-term therapy.
7. Occasional Sessions: If you attend sessions on an as-needed basis rather than regularly, the session fee will be at the current rate.
8. Ending Long-Term Therapy: You may choose to end long-term therapy at any time.
*If we have worked together for more than a year, your final session will be free of charge, serving as an important conclusion to our therapeutic journey.
9. No Refunds: If you’re unhappy with the session, please note that once it has been conducted, the fee is non-refundable.
10. Respectful Communication: I strive to maintain a respectful and safe environment. If any behaviour during the session is disrespectful, impolite, or threatening, I may end the session early. In such cases, the session fee is non-refundable.
11. Scope of Practice: I work exclusively with adult clients (18+). I do not take on cases involving addictions, medical/psychiatric conditions, family therapy with children, or trauma related to war violence. If you’re seeking help for depression, I can work in collaboration with a psychiatrist as part of a broader treatment plan.
*By booking a session, you confirm that your case does not fall under these categories. If it does, I may end the session early, and the session fee will still apply.
*If your issue is outside of my expertise and isn’t listed above, I may conduct an initial session to assess, but reserve the right to decline further sessions if it’s not within my scope of practice.
12. Confidentiality: All information shared during the session is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, except where required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others) or for professional supervision purposes.
13. Technical Issues: If there are technical issues (e.g., internet problems) during a Zoom session, we can reschedule at no additional cost. However, if we’ve completed at least half of the session before the issue occurs, the full session fee will still apply.
14. Personal Responsibility: The success of therapy largely depends on your active participation and commitment. While I provide professional guidance, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes.
15. Emergencies: Please be aware that I do not provide emergency services. If you are in crisis or need urgent support, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline.
16. Session Recordings: For privacy reasons, I do not record sessions, and I ask that clients do not record sessions without explicit consent from both parties.
